Hello everyone!
This has been quite the quarter for Minnit!
We’ve deployed many new and exciting updates for our users to help make the chatting experience for you and your users even better.
Here are some of the updates:
Custom message reactions:
You can now use emoji that is available in the chat, as well as custom emoji you’ve uploaded as message reactions. This feature is available on the all paid plans.
Announce current song:
You can now show the current song that’s playing at the top of the chat, rather than as a chat message. This feature is available on the Basic plan and higher.
You can now enable song voting, so users can like or dislike songs directly in the chat. This feature is available on the Community plan and higher.
GIFs:
Our GIF search and sharing integration has moved to Klipy due to our old provider (Tenor) shutting down.
As part of the update, we’ve also added the ability to see even more GIF results when you scroll.
API:
- Added option to rename chats via the API
- Added option to copy chat settings from a chatroom to specific chatroom(s) or all chatrooms via the API
- Added option to clear messages via the API
- Added option to update message reactions via the API
SDK:
- Added option to get a user’s online status via the SDK
- Added option to manually connect to the chat, rather than automatically connecting via the SDK
- Added option to disconnect from the chat via the SDK
We’ve also deployed various bug fixes to ensure a more stable chatting experience.
Stay tuned for more updates coming later this year!
